Maintaining a blogIf you’re just looking into owning a blog, and you’re wondering if it would be hard to maintain, worry not.

FACT: With a blog, you set the agenda. You write as much or as little as you like, you write as frequently or infrequently as you like, and NOBODY CAN TELL YOU WHAT TO DO.

If you can send an email, you can maintain a blog.

To maintain your blog…

You don’t need to know HTML
You don’t need to know CSS
or PHP
or JavaScript
You don’t need to understand RSS (one of the best things about a blog)

All you need to know is that you can publish your own content as easily as sending an email, and your visitors can post comments on your posts and open a discussion.

Blog posts get ranked in Google quickly, (in my experience some posts have even been indexed within minutes), the internal page structure of your blog builds itself, and you can even set your blog up to promote itself on sites like Delicious, Twitter, Facebook, and Squidoo.

To Add a New Blog Post:

1. Login to your secret admin dashboard
2. Click ‘Add New Post’
3. Start typing
4. Hit Publish

Managing Comments:

1. Login to your secret admin dashboard
2. Click on ‘Comments’
3. Go down the list either approving or deleting comments
4. And reply to any you want to reply to

If you are thinking about starting a blog, I hope I’ve shown you you don’t have anything to worry about.

If you’re going to set up your blog yourself, I’d recommend reading my free guide “Blogging Jargon Buster” – you can download it free from here.

Setting up a blog initially is the hardest part, so if you need me to do it for you let me know!
